ravello restaurant was founded in 1970 by marisa and gabriele palumbo and has been family run since with managers pasquale amato and antonio sartori.
at the end of 2005 ravello celebrated its 35 year anniversary and to mark this special occasion, at the start of 2006 the restaurant underwent a re-modernisation and an artist was commissioned to paint 15 pieces including many diptychs and triptychs echoing southern italian vistas and customs. the concept being to fuse a contemporary ambiance with traditional style and the finest authentic dishes from the campania region.
over the years ravello has received many rewards including a gold medal from the mayor of ravello in italy and in 1999, the restaurant accepted an award from the president of italy for the most authentic italian food in london.
the restaurant has been the subject of many articles in magazines and newspapers such as harpers and queen, time out, the sunday times and the evening standard amongst others.
